PART TWO: BINGO TRIVIA
Tools of the trade?
- Manga Studio Ex (line art and screentones)
- Photoshop CS4 (Color and textures)
Screentones?
Yes, for some backgrounds (Torture, Headaches) and what is called 2Dlt rendering (an image turned into a screentone thanks to a Manga Studio tool) on several drawings like Loss of Home or De-age but I used mostly the 3D tool of Manga Studio Ex to help me with the perspective of some items like the chair and the telephone on Poltergeist and the wheel chair in Accident.
How long did it take you?
More than one month and an half for the complete card. I would say two nights per drawings (I work at night).
Most difficult?
Disappearing and Scars.
The first one because of the number of characters on the drawings (seven) and the second one because of the perspective and the lighting.
Easiest?
Therapy.
I usually don't really like drawings hands but I remember I drew this art quite fast. The coloring was quite easy too, unlike Scars for
example. I wish it worked that smoothly for all the squares but it didn't.
Funniest?
Magical trouble because of the genderswap and Sex Pollen (the wild card) because of the little pixies having a good laugh at the
bottom of the picture. These little creature should have appeared in only one drawing (Magical trouble) but I liked them so much that they
ended up in three illustrations.
Fail?
Yes! Loss of home and Caught in a Robbery.
Caught in a Robbery was the first one I drew. I didn't know exactly where I was heading, particularly when it comes to colors. I didn't have a precise idea either of the concept as you can see below. On the left, the first version with a rather basic coloring, on the right, the final version with a different kind of coloring and texturizing. Not mention Dean's fabulous family jewels. Huh..No, not the ones you are thinking of...

Loss of Home caused me some problems too. Here is what the first art what looking like: Sam and Dean kissing in front of the bus for Stanford. I dropped it because I thought there was a problem with characters' likeness and body proportions. It just didn't work. I prefer the new version better, with Sam sitting alone next to the bus.

Step by step?
Just a little gif so that you can see how I colored the drawings:

A big thank you to

Date: 2011-10-24 06:08 pm (UTC)Good that I was prepared for all these coming, otherwise I would fall dead overwhelmed by emotions!
I only saw the half of pictures, something happened to my internet connection and it's slow as hell, probably it also fell dead from too much beauty XDDD Well, I needed a break anyway.
OH MY FUCKING GOD
Sorry for overreaction, you know what you do to me posting such amount of amazing art!
I love your humor, I love that every piece have a history behind it, I love you pay attention to details, I love your boys (and even Cas!) and I love you
/went for a break sobbing because of too much feelings/

Date: 2011-10-26 09:55 am (UTC)Sorry I killed your Internet connection xD You have the megaupload link if you want, it's more convenient than opening 25 tabs in your browser.
I love your humor
Thank you ^o^ Sometimes I am convinced I am the only one to find funny the silly things I draw. I was a bit afraid that people would laugh at the nyan cat reference but they did, apparently, this thing torture the whole planet! I even have an orchestral version of it and was listening to it while drawing the Torture square xD
Thank you so much for such a great comment about my bingo card and for taking the time to tell me what were your favorite squares ♥
*HUGS*
PS: where are the SMILEYS?!

Date: 2011-10-30 09:16 am (UTC)You're a Batman, really! I don't want even to try to imagine what a huge work you made here!
Fortunately I defeated my Internet connection and now I have a new subfolder in "PM art" ^^
>> and for taking the time to tell me what were your favorite squares
Did I? I don't think I did! Because I was only on the halfway then))) But now I looked through all of it (thousand times!) =)))
"Caught in a Robbery" is really funny - especially with your summary
I love unusual angles and perspective on 2, 7, 12 and 19, you managed to create space and depth on pictures just perfectly
"Coma" is amazing because of the colors and the light and two Sams! XD How could I ever stand it?
What is frightening and stunning at 7 is that you can see the title exactly from the picture itself - even if it wasn't written below that's what I would think looking on it, in the same words.
8 - omg, that was unexpected! I love your lighting (oops, I think I repeat the same things, but what can I do!), or more properly to say darkness? Don't know about you but as for me it's the hardest thing to draw night lighting like this
WINCEST!!!! 9, 11, 13, 25 is where my brain shuts down and I can only drool happily over it!
and Sammy-girl, ohm guilty pleasure, I LOVE genderswap, it's one of the biggest kinks, especially when you can still recognize boys in their female form.
Thank you so much for being such creative and talented and simply awesome!
PS. You're evil woman! I'm here trying my best to talk using words and not pictures or GDSKLGHSDLKGHSDLGKJ and you!
But fine, I'll remember to put smiles in euch and every comment from now on
