 Three arts for the Supernatural Summer Art Community

What's the concept?

The following arts were drawn for the spn_summer_art  community. The only requirement the artworks had to meet to be submitted in the comm was they had to be Supernatural fan arts (no RPS) and be visibly related to summer. Gen and/or Slash is allowed as long as it is safe for work. I submitted three arts, one of Sam and Dean, one of Dean and Castiel and one of Young!Dean.

A little step by step gif?

 

Yep! Here's a gif with the different steps of Artwork #1 I did the line work in Manga Studio. I started by applying a texture and worked a lot with the gradient tool. Then some shadows and highlights and..it's over! 



Voilà!

This is so sweet; it really makes me want to eat a peach! :3 I love everything in this picture, the lighting, the contrasting colors of Dean and Sam's shirts, that Sam is wearing a t-shirt with "fresh peaches" on it, that he has his arm sweetly over Dean's shoulder and they're holding the same peach! ♥__♥ I love Dean's small little smile, and that Sammy's looking right at the camera. (Er, does one say "camera" in a situation like this? -___-;;; Anyway, I like that he's looking right to the audience while Dean's looking off to the side).

It's also really cool to see how the picture slowly evolved into the finished product. I always appreciate that in your posts. Thanks for putting so much effort into your art and into your posts about it! :D It's awesome! Not sure I've ever commented before...but I love all of your stuff! And I resolve to comment in the future, like an upstanding member of the fandom should. :)

IDK but I understood perfectly what you wanted to say, so no problem ;) I think that "camera" is the perfect word here :3

You are the 5th "peach craving" of the post ^^ People are really going to hate me for that ^^;;

I love explaining how I reach the final result. That's why I opened a LJ in the first place. I couldn't post tutorials on DA. I did it on Tumblr once or twice but it's not convenient so when I have to explain something in details I do it on LJ. However I'm not sure I'm gonna have the time to do it for the Big Bang :/ I hope to be on time but it's really hard ><
