RANDOM QUESTIONS

What's the concept ?

Sam and Dean after a hunt. Sam was hurt, Dean brought him some "comfort" (it sounds like a cheap porn movie scenario but I am sure that nobody will complain ). Well, it's "smut art " after all, so do we really need a great concept ladies, huh ?

What came first ? The art or the fic ?

The art! timewillbe  and I we kind of "reversebanged" for that one (that sounds kinky, isn't it ? ). I drew the art, sent her and she liked it so much she told me she wanted to write a fan fic inspired by it so I waited a bit to post the drawing. Now the fic is completed, it's called Tourniquet and you can find it here. Don't miss it!!

Dean doesn't have his tattoo ?

As I used a reference photo from Season 2 for Sam and made Dean look younger (even if the photo is from S5 if I remember correctly) so I think we can say that the scene takes place in S2 or early S3 and the boys didn't have their tattoos yet at that time, so... But honestly, I wish I could have added them because I have the feeling when I look at this drawing that something is missing.

What's that wooden box with the boys' names in the foreground ?

Well I said at the beginning that no great concept was needed for smut art but as I am nuts, I always have to add this kind of little details even when I draw a sex scene. I thought that Sam and Dean could have kept their first aid kid in an old box they owned since their childhood or something. Exactly like they carved their names in the truck of the Impala, they did it on the box too. [/cool story bro]

Where does the title come from ?

It's the title of a track from the official Supernatural Soundtrack. It's a rather simple play on words but I must admit that I actually liked it a lot and that it fitted perfectly for the title of this art.

What do you prefer on the picture ?

Sam's butt and leg At the beginning I thought about covering all the drawing with shadows from the blinds but at the end, I liked Sam's leg so much that I stepped back and left a part of his body in the light.

What software did you use ?

Softwares : Photoshop CS - Painter Essential 3
Tablet : Wacom Graphire 4

How long did it take you ?

Around 25 hours I think. The details in the foreground just drove me nuts...

More wincest arts in the future ?

Yep! Expect a collaboration with dragonspell  on a new young!Sam and Dean art (well young, around 22 for Dean and 18 for Sam, no underage)

I would also like to go for the "lulz" for some Dean/Castiel art. I don't ship this pairing at all but I think it could be interesting to give it a try at least once. 

And also ?

I signed up for the j2_everafter  challenge and I got exactly the prompt  I wanted : Beauty Sleeping! So I guess that I will draw a sleeping!Jensen waiting for a prince or knight!Jared to come and rescue him. And a dragon too, of course!

Holy shit, you and Joy are trying to kill me! I love how narrative your porn is. No really, I do! Once you get past the initial overwhelming hotness of the pose, you can devour all the little details like strewn first aid supplies in the foreground and the delicate way Dean's amulet rest against Sam's hand. *sigh* SO MUCH LOVE FOR THIS.

Thanks a lot Maichan! I am glad you loved it and that you paid attention to all the tiny details of the medical kit. It just drove me nuts -___- I was like "oh crap! Why did I draw all this?! It's just a sex scene FHS!" but at the end, I couldn't help myself ^^;;

Alas, I did not draw the piece in my icon. It's by one of my favorite artists, Audrey Kawasaki (http://www.audrey-kawasaki.com/).

I'm also maichan808 (http://maichan808.deviantart.com/) on dA, but I crosspost everything to LJ. I actually don't have any recent non-fandom art to speak of since I've only been actively drawing in the past year. I basically stopped doing traditional art when I left school nearly a decade ago /o\

I was mostly working on fanvids and websites instead.

Aww, I'm flattered that you liked the chibis. Those were my first attempt to draw in that style.
